

K. Wayne Hast
Southwestern Baptist
Theological Seminary
Wayne Hast is a graduate of Dallas Baptist
University and has served as a DBU business school
faculty member since 1991. Along with having graduated
from DBU, Wayne has also completed graduate programs at
the University of North Texas and Stanford University,
studying economics and business management. Wayne Hast
served for over a dozen years as an economist and
Director of Economic Education for the Federal Reserve
Bank of Dallas. Mr. Hast is the Distinguished Professor
of Stewardship and Economics, in the Center for Biblical
Stewardship, at Southwestern Baptist Theological
Seminary, in Ft. Worth, Texas. Wayne is also the CEO of
K. Wayne Hast and Company, and has recently co-founded
the American Stewardship Federation, where he will be
serving in the role of executive director.
Wayne served for several years as vice-president and
chief economist for Inspire International, working in
India on Christian economic development, micro-lending,
and micro-enterprise programs, designing a variety of
programs to eradicate poverty in third world nations.
He currently consults on international business projects
for InterProjects International. Wayne has also taught
for over a decade at Southern Methodist University and
the University of Richmond in Richmond, Virginia. Wayne
Hast is also referred to by many as "The Christian

Jim Henry
First Baptist
Church, Orlando, Retired
Jim Henry is a native of Nashville, Tennessee, and
has been an ordained Baptist pastor for over 50 years.
He obtained a master of divinity degree from New Orleans
Baptist Theological Seminary in 1963. Jim served
churches in Alabama, Mississippi, and Tennessee, before
becoming pastor of the First Baptist Church in Orlando,
Florida, in 1977, where he served for some 30 years.
Pastor Jim has held numerous denominational leadership
positions over the years, having served as the President
of the Southern Baptist Convention from 1994 to 1996. He
has also been very active in numerous other religious
and civic endeavors over the years. Pastor Henry is the
author of several books.
He and his wife, Jeanette, have three children and six
grandchildren and reside in Orlando, Florida.

Jim Murphy

Communications
Jim Murphy is a Catholic evangelist, lay preacher,
master storyteller, and teacher of the Gospel. Jim,
(also known as Butch), is president of “Vera Cruz
Communications”. The core mission of Vera Cruz (meaning
true cross in Spanish), is to bringing the Gospel to
people in their everyday lives. Jim believes that the
vital message of the Gospel, must be presented in ways
that are understandable, not only to a Christian
audience, but to secular listeners as well. “Vera Cruz
Communications” for that reason, has a ” down to earth”,
homespun approach to its communication and services. Jim
is committed to work not only in the Church, but in the
marketplace, neighborhood, and home as well.
In 1992 Jim undertook a 4,200 mile walk across the
United States, carrying a cross on his shoulders. The
action was typical of his use of drama and symbols to
bring people out so they can hear and be challenged by
the Gospel message.
Jim Murphy is a graduate of Wayne State University’s
school of Social work. Since that time he has been
involved in many areas of leadership, teaching, youth
ministry, and seminars. Jim resides with his wife Susan,
and his 14 year old son John in Michigan.

Professor Robert Tuttle
Asbury
Theological Seminary, Retired
Robert Tuttle was born in North Carolina, the son of a
United Methodist minister. After his undergraduate
degree at Duke University, he completed graduate degrees
at Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary and the
Wheaton Graduate School of Theology and then a Ph.D.
degree at the University of Bristol in England.
Bob served churches in North Carolina and Colorado
before beginning his teaching career at Fuller
Theological Seminary in Pasadena, California. Since
then, Bob has taught at the Oral Roberts Graduate School
of Theology, Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary,
and Asbury Theological Seminary (both Wilmore, Kentucky
and Orlando, Florida campuses).
Though recently retired, Bob still spends much of his
time teaching, writing, and teaching/preaching at
conferences, universities, and local churches around the
world. He has preached and/or taught in nearly every
state in the US and in over 30 countries.
